My new all-magenta show opened this last weekend. And WoW! Did we have fun!
Thank you so much to all who came out and also those sending good wishes from afar. You are all rock-stars in my book. It was an amazing weekend and we have raised lots of money for breast cancer awareness and research! I remain ever so grateful to be in this privileged position (alive and making uplifting art!)…
I feel 1000% better than last year. Research works, people!

LéAna Clifton's latest show of mixed medial original works is inspired by her recent bout with breast cancer and will include many new magenta colored works derived from abstract photography of trains combined with various mixed media to create her one-off, original works.
About LéAna Clifton:
LéAna Clifton is a Marfa based artist that has been working in mixed media and photography for over 12 years. For the last 6 years she has focused almost exclusively on creating small and large scale, long-exposure abstract images of freight trains running through the west Texas desert. Her obsession with large fields of color and contrasting line is clear in this work.
LéAna was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in Feb. of 2018, and after extensive treatment has been declared cancer free as of May of 2019.
The show will be up through October 2019, which is breast cancer awareness month and also LéAna's birth month.
A portion of the proceeds of this show will directly support metastatic breast cancer research, which historically has received less support, but which is vital to long term breast cancer survival.
An artist's reception will be held at the VELDT Gallery at 125 Highland Ave, in Marfa on Sept. 27 at 6pm.

I am so happy to show my latest work here. All pieces are on archival paper. 40” x 40”, mixed media, originals. A series I named “FREQUENCY” due to the subtle, soft visual frequencies visible in each unique piece. It’ll be up in the gallery in Marfa until year-end. cheers! L

1. Select your preferred collection of images. 2. Email me their numbers and I will do a mock-up of how they look together for you to confirm.
After this I will send you an online invoice and, once paid, we will get your order going. Delivery is typically around 3 weeks.

hi All!
A quick update... Love this recently installed work in a client's Austin home. As you can see their image combination is quite spectacular. When I see a new combination like this it always puts a smile on my face. This MARFA TRAIN series is truly a collaboration between artist and buyer, meaning the buyer can bring their own creativity to the choice of pieces they purchase, and the order in which they display them in. Always a fun and exciting experience for both parties!
